They say that the strongest couples retain a sense of humor in their relationships, and that love is best when you can choose to close your eyes at just the right times and open them wide at others. We choose to expect the best of another person and allow them wings to be the best version of themselves that is possible. Our fairytales may be a bit more messy than any storybook, but they have a richness that is far less shallow.
This painting started with a base of cartoon comic transfer. (A foundation of humor.)
The birds are painted with no eyes to represent the truth that true love “sees” primarily with the heart and action.
The script is painted in a dripping way to show that love is often unexpected, and that flexibility is a wonderful quality to continually pursue.
The tail on the word “love” circles the image, enveloping these two birds in sweetness. -
