Mendenhall Glacier is a premier destination for tourists in Juneau, Alaska. Living close to this glacier, there is a powerful feeling of loss as the glacier recedes drastically in front of my very eyes. This piece was painted as a reminder of the power of one individual making small changes. If we all combine efforts to do what we can for our environment, the impact could be phenomenal.
From a human standpoint, it is also a silent reminder to allow the heart space to breathe when life gets to be too much. I may not be able to stop the forces of life's destructiveness, but I can choose peace/love/kindness for my own journey.
This is a quality reproduction print of Susie Griffin's original artwork entitled "Glacier Receding".
This image is printed on high quality luster finish paper with archival inks that will hold their color for nearly 100 years. The image size you choose will have a small 1/4" internal white border perfect for framing. The watermark will be absent in the print you receive.
